Detailed Itinerary of the tour
Arrive Colombo,transfer to hotel.Start your holiday.Sightseeing in Colombo.
Visit National Museum in Colombo and Shopping.
At Kelaniya visit the Raja Maha Vihara, a temple graced by Buddha.Visit the zoological gardens at Dehiwela.
En route to Anuradhapura.Also visit Panduvas Nuwara which features a well-preserved walled citadel, Padeniya, Arankele and the rock fortress of Yapahuwa.
Visit Anuradhapura, the fascinating ancient city and one of Sri Lanka’s most important archaeological sites. It contains vast artificial lakes, temples, statues including the Samadhi Buddha,royal baths and museums.Also visit the holy Sri Maha Bodhi tree under which Prince Siddharta attained enlightenment.
En route to Giritale, we visit the stunning Aukana Buddha statue and the impressive Dambulla Rock Temple. Then visit ancient Polonnaruwa, the ruins of the Royal Palace and temples.
Visit the ‘Lion Rock’.The Sigiriya site consists of a 180m tall granite rock.There is a stone stairway leading from the base to the top of the mountain.
Visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela.Proceed to Kandy.Visit the lake, bazaar, gem museum and lapidary. And visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. After that enjoy a cultural dance show.
Departing Kandy, Head further into Sri Lanka’s hill country surrounded by tea plantations. Enjoy a sightseeing tour and visit Hakgala Gardens.
Depart early for Horton Plains.Horton Plains offers the walker stunning panoramic views.
Continuing to Yala National Park, en route visit the Mahayana Buddhist rock sculptures at Buduruwagala. And in the evening, enjoy a jeep safari.
Visit Bundala National Park – a bird sanctuary. And then visit the town of Galle,with it’s sparkling warm blue seas.
Excursion to Ratnapura, home of Sri Lanka’s famous gem trade and visit the Museum
